It's been awhile, but it deserves a mention I think. Waaaaay back in August, Wes and I celebrated our 14th anniversary.
Hip hip hooray for us, I know.
We decided to celebrate by spending the day out with our somewhat perfect angels at a little place called Luna Park.
Eight years we've been living in Sydney, and we had not been there ONCE. We have been everywhere else, but for some reason visiting the amusement park just never happened. How shocking and horrifying when you have four children.
Well, don't worry... we fixed that!
This is the entryway to the park. I'm not sure if it's supposed to entice you to come in
or scare you away. I don't know about YOU, but I'm feeling the affects of the latter...
Close up of the fam.
Don't mind the rainbow streaking across everyone... rainbows tend to follow us around
due to our Irish heritage. Once upon a time Prepchuk used to be O'Prepluck.
TRUE!
First ride we hit... this spinning cage type thing. I opted to watch while everyone
else spun around until their eyes popped.
I tried my best to capture the moment...
You may have noticed that one of my favourite things to do on this blog is
pick apart pictures for no good reason. It's fun... you should try it sometime.
Like THIS:
Jarom exits the ride like his legs are made of jelly and
he spent the last five minutes been spun around at five billion
miles an hour (which he WAS)...
While Lena descends from the ride like she's the Queen of England.
That's my girl!
Hanging out on the Ferris Wheel... nowhere to go, nothing to do...
I bet you didn't know this, but Jarom is a graduate of the Eagle Eye Flying Academy.
Don't believe me?? Just ask his shirt.
We got this beautiful un-obstructed view of the opera house and harbour bridge
while riding the Ferris Wheel.
My kids decide to take five hundred years choosing a game to play, and Wes discovers
he looks cool with his hand casually placed in his pocket.
I have to say, after 14 years of marriage, my husband is still SMOKIN' hot!
I haven't fared so well... my neck has stretched out a bit. Just a bit though.
Must be from all that looking down on him I do (kidding!)
While the boy Prepchuks conquered this ride...
The girl Prepchuks conquered this one. Lena was hanging on for dear life...
The boys looking so SO thrilled with this ride, while Lena sobbed on the side lines, because she
wasn't tall enough for this one.
Everyone but her was too tall for this one though.
She flies for the Americans these days...
I wonder if we'll find it in our hearts to forgive her...
Conner licks up the world's most fascinating coloured ice cream...
And Lena learns it's hard to be a girl when the wind's a blowin'
(Check out the love in my husband's eyes... fourteen years will do that to you!)
The end...
