Christmas Day Hooray

Finally! The Christmas post.

I knew what you'd really like to do today was look at ten trillion photos of my kids (and a couple of my husband) so here you go...

I wasn't going to show off any more cookie pictures, since I bored you with
that in a previous post, but I couldn't resist sharing this picture of the cookie
Lena made for Santa. She spent FOREVER on this thing, carefully placing
each sprinkle in a pattern. She loves her patterns. Well, obssess over them actually.

I sure hoped Santa enjoyed it! (But of course he did)

The kiddies ready to open their Christmas Eve presents... can you feel the excitement in the air???
(Let's hope Santa got his act together and got these kids some pants without holes in the knees)

And the after... they were pretty pleased with their spoils.

And looky looky... Santa came and barfed under our tree...
(Well, around it, technically)

And in our stockings...

Over to the right on the couch are the parent's stockings. They like to snuggle up, just like parents do...
How sweet!

This year the man of the house decided to invent a new tradition...
Before we rip into the presents, everyone takes a moment to write down in their "Christmas journals"
their thoughts and feelings on the REAL meaning of Christmas.
(Santa and presents, right Wes???)
Each year they'll do this, so that by the time they are a thousand years old, they will have
a sugary sweet sentimental thing that they will treasure for always, containing all their wisdom
regarding Christmas...

AWWWWW.

Once they were done being all reflective, we moved on to the present portion of the day.
Which we dragged out best we could.
There are just too many pictures to get overly documental, so I'm just going to call
this part of the post "The FACES of Christmas..."

Happy face.
(My favourite kind)

Distracted face.

Slightly cross eyed face.

Drunk face.

"What??? Another boring tie?" Face.

I'm not as strong as I thought face.

Smiling until it hurts face.

Gorgeous face.

Shocked face.

I can open this present using nothing but my mind powers face.
(For real! Look at the right corner peeling back on its OWN! Such talent)

Laughing face.

Lost his mind face.

Giddy face.

Bored face. At Christmas??? Come on Jarom!

I don't even know what to call this face.

They are about to open something very exciting, and they don't even know it faces...
(Video at the end of this post, shows the after of this picture)

Hungry faces.
(Yeah, we ate Christmas dinner in our p.j.'s... don't judge)

And that concludes the face segment of this picture packed post.

Now on to the "playing with the new stuff" portion. It's very short, due to the fact
that I spent most of the afternoon napping. What can I say... my kids woke me up at 5.30...
a thing they would never DARE do to their father.

My angel.

My Lego builders.

My man, letting out his inner child.
(He needs to wear sunglasses on his head when he plays Nintendo. ??)

And now for the video portion of the post!

I'm not looking forward to the day my children don't scream and/or rub presents on their faces.

Phew! Done for another year... Hope you had a Merry Christmas!
