hey it's another birthday

We have a lot of birthdays crammed into the year's end...

I'm just realising this.

I'm quick like that.

Next on the list for a birthday celebration was my second born son, Jarom.

We love Jarom. He is sweet and kind, and sweet and kind, and kind and sweet.

Did I mention he is sweet and kind? Well, he IS!

He turned himself into double digits this year, which, in case you didn't know is a really BIG deal!

"Yo! I'm ten, I'm cool, and I have a rip in my jeans... whaaaaaat!"

Now I'd like to introduce you to a special segment I've entitled
Jarom getting shocked over some presents:

Wasn't that a fun segment?

"Yo! I'm cool with a rip in my jeans and a whole stack of pressies."
(He speaks Australian from time to time)

After he was done with the presents ritual, he gathered around him a great big stack
of friends and they hauled themselves off to the city to get good and wet...

Ready to ride.... (Anyone else notice that Jarom is the only boy dressed like a girl???)

Weeeeee! (Don't bother trying to find Jarom in this picture... he's busy hiding behind Jared's head)

It would seem Jarom's friends off to the left there are intensely interested in his reaction to his cake.
Lena and her little friend to the right there are just intensely good at being super cute.

My boys are really into Harry Potter at the moment. So I really wanted to make a Harry Potter
themed cake, but when I looked around for ideas on the internet, I discovered that making a
Harry Potter themed cake is impossible unless you have spent the last thousand years in some sort
of culinary fine arts school. So we made do with "Harry's cake," from Hagrid. Not too shabby!
Well, actually it is... but that's the idea. By the way if you ever want to hear Wes say the phrase
"point of reference" a bazillion times in half an hour, just ask him to write a message on a
birthday cake. It's pretty entertaining.

After the cake we went out for supper. We like to mix it up like that.

Happy Birthday Jarom.
