You will probably be very interested to know that Australians have Father's Day in September. And since we happen to live in Australia, we had the joy of celebrating Father's day this past Sunday.
Interesting, right?
Well, just wait until you see the pictures I've got for you!!!
Here's the father of our home with his offspring. And as usual when I'm trying to take a picture of my kids, one of them will have to act up... I think they've secretly made this agreement behind my back. This time it was Jarom's turn, who thought it would be great fun to pretend he didn't have a neck.
Anyway... for Father's Day we decided what our Father would really like (besides fifty new ties), was to barbeque us some supper! So we let him do it. Wasn't that so sweet of us???
The boys thought the best way they could help out with the BBQ, was by jumping on the trampoline. Lena desperately wanted to aid them in their efforts, but they weren't interested in letting her on...
So she came pleading her case to her Mother... "Mama! I must jump on that trampoline! Please assist me this instant... or else I will stand here looking so cute, that your heart will burst! Then you'll be sorry!!!"
So of course, I helped her out. Do you want to know why her brothers don't really like having her on the trampoline??? Well, I'll show you...
As soon as she gets on, she screams at any brother that DARES to jump when SHE is jumping... and because their eardrums can't handle the pain of a Lena reprimand, they all resign themselves to sitting and watching their sister jump. Poor little lads!
Reid decided he wasn't going to take it though, and got onto more important things.... like pretending a blue pool noodle was a light saber. (You may have noticed from his blog that he is a tad Star Wars obsessed).
Aha! Some actual BBQ pictures! Here's what Wes looks like when he BBQ-ing. Typical! Chugging away on a beer (ginger, that is).
And here's what my kids look like when they're eating... neat, hey?
My husband showed me this Mormon message the other day, and told me that it may or may not have actually brought a tear to his eye! Astounding. I don't think I've EVER seen a tear in my husband's eye. Not even while he's chopping an onion.
And since it has a nice father kind of a theme to it, I thought I'd share it on this Father's Day post.
