Wii vs. Weee!!!

Time for a confession.

My kids really, really, REALLY like to play Nintendo. If I would let them, they would play it from the moment they woke up in the morning until they rested their precious little angel heads on their pillows at night. Fortunately for their brains, I don't let them.

However that doesn't stop them from constantly asking to play it from the moment they wake up in the morning until they rest their precious little angel heads on their pillows at night.

And every time they ask, I think to myself, "why on earth did we buy that darn thing in the first place???"

I still don't have an answer to that question. Although when I come close to an answer it usually involves blaming Wes somehow.

Lately though I have resorted to this little trick to reduce the amount of time they spend on the Nintendo each day. When they ask to play, I just smile sweetly and say, "why of course precious child! you can play after you go and jump on the trampoline for half an hour!" And so they skip merrily off to jump on the trampoline, thinking they have got their own way again.

Of course after they have started jumping on the trampoline, they realize they are having fun, and spend longer than half an hour jumping... then when they're done with that, they decide since they're outside they might as well go grab a stick and poke at a few bugs and ant hills, and then collect some rocks and build a fort, and stick their noses through the fence to see what toys the neighbours have, and so on and so forth.

And sometimes they completely forget that they wanted to play Nintendo in the first place. Mwah haha. I sure showed them!

Anyways this is getting a little long winded. Hopefully none of you have fallen asleep....

I decided it was time to get on the trampoline and gets some pictures and video because it's my job as the mother to document every single moment of my children's lives, no matter how great or small.

Well actually I only took photos of Lena because her wispy soft hair goes crazy when she gets on the trampoline. It can't handle the static build up.

As usual, she was extremely cooperative while I tried to get a few pictures.

And the video...

Aren't you SO glad I shared this video? Otherwise you would have never seen split jumps and how kind Conner can be to his older brother Jarom, or how confusing the words "say bye" can be to Conner, or how disturbing Reid and Jarom are when they play together (don't tell me you didn't see face in the butt incident), and how high Lena can jump in the hair, and how she thinks "can you dance" means "quick get off the trampoline before it explodes..."

Ahh... kids are fun. Especially when they aren't playing Nintendo.
