to beach or not to beach

Well! We finally got off our lazy duffs and took the grandparents to do something interesting and very Australian. (We went to the beach of course).

That's Grandma Groody, Lena, Dr. Wes, Jarom, and Reid (who apparently was slowly being eaten by the ocean. Why didn't someone try to save him, I'll never know).

Conner: "Sheesh! It never fails! Everytime we visit the beach, I've always got a load of work to do! Digging, and scraping, and building... my goodness... am I the only one who ever gets anything done around here???"

Lena: "Holy crow, daddy! Did you know there is the world's biggest bath tub here? It's way too scary for me, and the sand is burny burny on my feet, and the sun is frying my face off, and it's noisy and weird, and why on earth aren't you carrying me???"

Jarom: "Oh dear, oh dear, this water is very very cold!"
Grandma: "Ah, ya little Aussie pansy... this ain't cold... you need to get yourself to my country, and I'll show you cold!"
(Disclaimer... grandma would of course never call her grandchild a pansy... all this is a gross exaggeration on the part of the blog narrator... aka: me).

I'm pretty well convinced that Reid was a fish in a former life... he loves the water a little too much. Like I've said before... I'll think he's gonna marry it someday.

Grandpa Groody giving Lena a little lesson on what you should be doing at the beach. None of this sand castle building business and swimming nonsense that everyone else was up to. HA! The amateurs!

While everyone else was eating their lunch, Reid went and sat on his own like this. I have no idea what he was doing, but he sure was at it for a very long time. I think maybe... he's... praying(???)

Dr. McHottie.
