Come again... on my birthday!

My first born Reid (aka David, Reidster, Rita) hit the wonderfulest milestone of 16 last week.

We are very proud of him for reaching this goal. I'm sure it's been very hard work for us him.

Picture time!

We told him he could skip school on such a momentous occasion, but he decided NO.
Seminary and school are way too much fun, don't you know???

So he opened presents super duper early in the morning. Just because he's sixteen now doesn't
mean he's going to wait ALL DAY LONG to get his stash of goodies for crying out loud!

Hola regalos

He may be sixteen now, but he's not going to let that change him.
Wake up, text... eat breakfast, text text... get ready for school, text...
open presents, text text TEXT!

We made our dad go and get us McDonald's because it's important
to start your birthday off with a good nutritious meal.

In other news... Jarom is a pro at looking completely natural in photos.

In Australia, you have to be sixteen in order to get your learners license.
Wes took him straight from school to take his test because he believes
with all his heart and soul you should be driving as soon as humanly possible.

In Australia you ALSO get to drive around with a big old L on your car
for at least one year after you get your license, so everyone will know
that you are a loser. I mean learner.
LEARNER!!

Homemade burgers for dinner. It was tasty. But not as nutritious as McDonalds...

I'd like to introduce you to some red velvet cake.
And my winking son. Don't judge!... He's done it before! I think...

Last but not least, some video of Reid's first drive. And then some Finches and us singing happy birthday to the birthday boy. Sam did not steal the spotlight at all.
