something quick and cute

It's a very simple quick little story, but I figured, AH! Why not?

We have a large world map hanging on the wall in our school room, very low, so that all the kids can stand right in front of it, and see it in all it's glory.

It's also great, because it makes our room look so extremely educational, and like we somehow have a clue what we are doing, and know so much about the world... blah blah blah.

Anyway, Conner and I are sitting in front of this map, and he rubs his hand all around Canada and says to me, "THIS is Canada... THIS is where Grandma and Grandpa live..." (You have to picture him saying this all in a tone, like I had no idea at all, and he was really enlightening my mind).

So I answer him like he's the smartest person on the planet, "yes, you are right Conner!"

He looks very pleased with himself.

Then I show him Australia and say, "this is Australia... this is where WE live."

He thinks about it for a moment, and seems to accept this information. Then he takes his cute little hand and runs it across Russia and says, "THIS is where daddy works."

Then I try not to laugh too hard, and just smile and say, "you sure are cute, Conner" because I really have no interest in telling him he's wrong. He'll figure it out someday anyway, right???

I just thought it was too cute how simple and small the world must seem to a three year old.

The end.
