offspring #2

What's his name? Jarom, aka: the sensitive soul. What's his nickname? Big J... how cute, right? He was the ripe old age of TWO when we left... now he's five, ahhh where does the time fly? Hahaha, I'm such an old person to say something like that. He barely even had a personality when we left, so this should be a really fun post for you.

He truly is our sensitive soul, takes everything to heart, sometimes a little overly emotional... and not afraid in the slightest to show it. Whether he is happy, sad, angry... whatever... you will know about it. It is a pretty common occurrence for him to get his little feelers hurt, and then see him running off into a corner to cry on his own... will not accept anyone trying to talk to him or comfort him, until he's done with this ritual. Then he comes back happy and smiling again. He loves to cuddle and give great big hugs... he is just one massively huge throbbing heart. I'm also pretty sure he has the cutest laugh you have ever heard in your life... very contagious stuff.

One of his all-time favourite things to do... his artwork. So many times we get home from school- where he has no doubt been doing billions of little art projects- and then he sits himself down at the kids table, and gets to work making MORE artwork. Our house is overflowing with his very creative pictures.

He's doing well in his first year of school, there were a few days with tears, but now that he feels more comfortable with his teacher, and has made some friends, he's happy (?) to be going to school. Mostly happy. I think.

He is such a sweet little kid, he's already come home with lots of awards and certificates... but my favourite has to be this one here... awww, that just describes Jarom so well... getting a certificate for being a wonderful friend to everyone.
He always has really great stories to share, and when he's explaining something, his is so extremely expressive, and he just stares right into your eyes and is so serious and dramatic, it is the cutest thing ever. Sadly though, Jarom has kind of passed a torch this past month. Passed it onto his little brother Conner that is. Jarom used to supply us with the cutest, funniest stories... little mess ups, his innocent little view of the world... which of course you've heard, courtesy of this amazing blog. But since starting school, he seems to have grown up fifty years, and he just doesn't do that sort of thing anymore. Conner fortunately is taking over, so we still have someone to laugh at... uh, I mean WITH.

Anyway, we love our little... hmmm... big Jarom, our family would just not be the same without him.
