Happy Easter

Last Sunday was Easter (in case you didn't know), so we went ahead and followed the crowd and spent our morning shoving our baskets (and faces) full of chocolate. Good times, as usual.

Getting ready to begin the hunt:

Now would be a great time to sit down, Conner.

This picture is the best. And not just because of his crazy arm.
His face! The worry of getting to those eggs before…

This one. He's always been the horder.
Conner said to me the night before, "I like Easter, but I don't like Easter
because I'm worried about Reid getting all the eggs."

It has been that way for so many years, but lucky for us
Reid is such a mature teenager these days, and was totally cool with letting his
siblings grab the treats while he took his sweet time.

What everyone should have been worried about was this little chick.
She was tearing around so quick, this was the only decent picture I managed to
snap of her… the rest were just big old blurs.

Collect eggs… check.
Complete morning yoga routine… check.

I think… I think he might be trying to tell me something.
Or… Yawning? Sneezing? Choking? We'll never know.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess he's… happy?

Wes sorts the goods, Jarom sleepwalks, and Lena glares at…???
Don't tell anyone, but Wes enjoys indulging in hot pink clothes from time to time.
(only in the privacy of his own home of course!)

The three things I like about this picture.
(Those reject eggs are Turkish Delight. My kids are not fans, but I am!!)

And again!… Shoved to the side for fear they may contaminate the good eggs.

You would think they have enough there to last a lifetime. Wrong! Try four days.

And ummm…how do you like our sign out in the back there? We tried a welcome mat,
but then people just kept coming around.

Reid and Jarom chow down while Conner contemplates the wonder of plastic...

The best kind of eggs to have for breakfast are chocolate.

The great thing about Easter eggs is that once you're tired of eating them
you can just go ahead and smush them into an egg tower. Win/win...

As fun as gathering eggs is, I am grateful for what Easter IS all about…
(Watch it! You won't be sorry)
