Recently, we had the great joy of celebrating the birth of our most favourite daughter.
She had the audacity to turn five. I forgive her though, because she is only five after all and doesn't know any better.
But one day, she'll pay for this.
Hi, I'm Lena... I'm one hand old, and if something is pink or purple, I will love it forever and ever
and ever and EVER.
Now for some pictures of the birthday girl getting happy about presents:
Her brothers are so extremely kind, they helped her build her new girly lego,
AND helped her eat her candy. It's a tough job to be an older brother, I tell ya.
The girl and the loot.
After the present opening was done and dusted, we set off for adventure.
First swimming. Then...
A scary movie, of course! The consequences of being born in the month
of HALLOWEEN.
While the boys were off paying their respects to the loo, we entertained
ourselves with taking pictures.
We let our kids choose any restaurant for their birthday dinner, and I was fully expecting to hear
a request for the standard "McDonalds" or "Outback," but this child threw
us all for a loop by announcing she wanted Chinese food. Wes and I
were highly impressed... her brothers not so much.
My favourite fortune cookie of the night.
It almost kind of seems like it could be making somewhat kind of a bit of almost sense.
She wanted a heart cake with purple and pink sprinkles
on top, so we made her a heart cake with purple and
pink sprinkles on top.
(And just for those of you who like random information... in
Australia, they don't actually call hearts "hearts." They call them
"love hearts." Which always makes me smile. Especially when I hear
a grown man saying things like, "Do you like your love heart cake?")
"AHH CHOOOOOOO!"
(Happy birthday cutie!)
