That's right.
At the moment, and for the last couple of months, technology time in our house translates to "minecraft time." What is minecraft, you wonder?
I wonder the same thing. Considering how important this game is to my kids, you'd think I'd know more. The thing is, I find the whole thing a tad on the boring side (sorry kids). As far as I can tell, you get to build your own kind of a world. Build your own house, take care of animals, collect wheat. Fight zombies.
Hmmm.... yeah, fight zombies. How it fits in, I don't know. But they LOVE it.
We have it on our iPad and iPods, and if the kids scrounge up all the devices, it works out that they can all sign in, and play/interact together on one world.
Making sense? No?
That's normal.
Time for a picture...
This is what technology time looks like.
While they are sitting there playing, there is a whole lot of talk going on. Random stuff that I don't understand, and usually just tune out. But every once and a while, something catches my attention.
Like this....
Jarom: "Oh, great!... So I'm stuck at home while you guys get to go out and fight zombies."
Hmmm... yeah, I hate it when that happens.
And this, which for some reason, I really found amusing....
Reid: "Hey... who planted flowers here???"
Jarom and Lena: "CONNER DID IT!" (tattling is fun stuff - "dobbing" if you speak Australian)
Reid: "Conner! This is where I plant my trees!"
Conner: "Sorry Reid."
Sheesh, Conner. How dare you? Planting flowers in some one else's tree zone.
The nerve.
Thank goodness for kids, or I'd never have anything to laugh at.
Oh, wait... I forgot I had Wes for that.
