Tie me kangaroo down sport

Sorry about the delay in updating this bloggy thing of mine.

You can just go right ahead and blame Veronica Mars. I know I do!

So! About a month ago (the 18th of July to be exact), you may have heard that after so many years in Australia, this little Prepchuk family went and got themselves a little somethin' called Australian Citizenship. So now we are really REALLY allowed to be here.

Like, forever!

Do you want to see some pictures of the event? I thought you might, so I clicked the night away, only to discover afterwards, that pretty much all of the pictures turned out nasty, blurry, and yellow.

Fortunately you don't care about how beautiful the pictures are.

No really... you don't. I know you.

Here we go then...

First up... this thrilling shot of the hall where the ceremony took place. I know it looks small here,
but there were a ton of seats behind us as well. Lots of people going Aussie that night.

It's basically empty at this point, because if we don't show up to things
at least 30 hours early, Wes will pass out and die.

Fortunately, they gave us some programs and Australian flags
to play with while we waited. As you can see, the boys were
having the time of their lives.

...........

So as you might imagine, after being in Australia for seven years now, we've come to speak
Australian pretty well... and here are my kids to demonstrate their proficiency:

"G'day mates! Why don't you rock up to our place
this arvo and we'll throw some shrimp on the barbie!"

"Crikey, check out that Ute...what a beaut!"

"A dingo took my baby!"

..........

After the ceremony was over, we decided we needed to perk ourselves
up with some good old Australian Outback dessert.

"Being Australian tastes good!"

Jarom was so excited by the whole evening, he was
about ready to fall asleep in his ice cream.

Aussie Wes celebrating for two. (On the left there is a very
yummy Australian dessert called pavlova)

That's all for now...

:D
