I wish I would update my blog more often.
Seriously! One day when I'm old and gray, I'm really going to kick myself for not recording more of life's experiences. And when I'm done kicking myself, I think I'll give Wes a kick too, for not encouraging me a little more. Plus, it'll just be fun to kick Wes.
So, in order to save myself and Wes from some future kicking, here's a post for you (and me).
At the art gallery here in Sydney, they've got this much hyped display of some of China's entombed warriors. So what choice did we have really, but to GO and check it out. When you homeschool, you have to go to these kinds of things, else you will be shamed forever and ever.
I'm not a big fan of being shamed, and I was actually really interested to go... so we loaded up into the Prepchukmobile and headed into the big city.
The promo. Tres cool.
Since the art gallery has a NO CAMERA rule (dang it), I could only get you some
pictures of the family outside of the gallery. How exciting for you! Here we are
approaching the entrance. Thrilling.
Since we live in the wonderful (?) age of the internet, I hunted down these pictures of
the exhibit. Apparently there are some people out there who were perfectly willing
to break the no camera rule. Gasp!
A little blurry, but you get the idea.
Overall, the exhibit was pretty good... although not a whole lot to see. Especially when
ten thousand elderly people decide to go at the same time as you, and block you from seeing
pretty much everything. We handled the inconvenience pretty well though, and I fully
encouraged my children to push and shove their way through whenever they liked.
(Elderly people really love to be pushed and shoved by small pesky children).
The actual exhibit itself had a fee, but the rest of the gallery was free to roam. So roam we did!
Judging by many of the expressions on peoples faces as we walked around,
they were quite surprised to see actual children there. But I like to think that
I have some pretty well behaved, well cultured, dignified, respectful kids.
I mean, really! Look how dignified and respectful he is as he
slides down the railing! Such a proud moment for me.
