a picture post

It's been far too long since I posted some pictures, so I dug through my dusty old memory card and found these forgotten photos....

Sadly, for my kids, they can not even get a few candies without their mother forcing them to work for it. "Reid! Divide your candy into equal groups!" Reid, however, knew a quick way out of this one, and divided his candies into equal groups of ones. Hmpff!

Jarom was not so sneaky.
Me: "Jarom, if I give you a group of four candies, and add a group of two candies, how many candies will Conner steal from you?"
Jarom: "Six, mommy dearest."

Me: "Conner... how many candies do you have in front of you?"
Conner: "Eleven-teen!"
Nice.

Now... "Lena! Stuff your mouth full of candy and then wave your arms in the air!"
Ahhh... she listens so well.

I found this picture irresistible to post for several reasons. One! Lena is freaking out because Conner won't share his scooter (she's appealing to her father for help, even though you can't see him... he's there though). Two!! Conner has the sweetest little expression on his face. Three!!! Conner put his pants on all by himself moments before this photo was taken. Can you tell? Look closely... (fine, they are on backwards for you who have no clue. Your welcome)

I don't think it is at all obvious that she has three older brothers and not a sister in sight.

Watching t.v. is always a fun activity....

But not as much fun as watching t.v. while sitting in a Lego box.

Reid has been desperate to try out 'Ramen' noodles, and so I caved. He and Jarom were absolutely thrilled with them, and announced while they were eating, "This is the best lunch we have EVER had!!!"
How nice. And it only cost thirty cents. And their good health.

Gross, I know... and what is it doing on my blog??? Well, since so many of you were curious about the weird bug I was talking about on facebook, I thought I'd show it to you here. It's called a silverfish... a bug I had no clue was even in existence until we moved to Australia. So many horrific truths I've had to face since moving here...

So what's the verdict? Weird enough for you??? (FYI... this is not the actual bug I killed... I found this picture on the internet).
