Conner's turn

My kids have been on a roll with the funny little things they've been saying, and yesterday was Conner's day....

We were sitting watching a movie before bed, and Conner (as usual) was smashed up against me, with a fistful of my hair being twirled between his fingers, when I let out a big yawn. What can I say... it was late, and I'd seen the movie a thousand times. (Meet the Robinsons. Which was really cute the first 957 times... but then it started to get old)

Of course, yawning is somehow contagious (why???), and so Conner does a big yawn.

He thought it was hilarious, and when my kids find something hilarious, I have to hear the whole instance repeated to me fifty times over, despite the fact that I was there, and knew exactly what had happened.

Now because Conner is four, and a late talker, his vocabulary is a little iffy... and he didn't actually know what the word for yawning was.

So this is the whole hilarious story, in Conner's words:

"Hahahaha... hehehe, Mommy you opened your mouth and a made a big bunch of AHHHH! Then I opened my mouth and I did a big bunch of AHHHHH! Haha haha, HEE HEE HA!"

Then I had to laugh because 'a big bunch of ahhhh' is probably the cutest way I've ever heard a yawn described. Then I had to enlighten him to the fact that 'a big bunch of ahhh' is actually called a yawn.

Which he also found hilarious.... "A YAWN??? HahahahaHAHAHA! A YAWN!"

I guess it is a funny sounding word if you think about it.

Thanks for being so cute Conner.
