a beaut

For our art lesson during school today, we launched ourselves into the exciting world of portrait drawing. I suggested to my boys that they should draw portraits of each other, but I suppose they were sick of looking at each other all day every day, and instead they opted to draw pictures of their mother and their sister. Jarom choose me (aka... his mother) and Reid chose Lena (aka... the all powerful princess prepchuk, and most beautiful being there ever could be).

Anyway, after working hard, and pouring their blood, sweat, tears, and a lot of complaining ("I can't get this right!!!!") into their portraits, Jarom came up with this extraordinary likeness of me:

I know what you're thinking.... and you are SO right! Wes is amazingly lucky to wake up to this gorgeous mug each and every day. I am so hot.

By the way, that's not some sort of disgusting substance coming out of my nose... those are my smiles lines.

Not pictured in this post... Reid's portrait of Lena. He couldn't bring himself to finish his masterpiece. It was the mouth... those mouths... they are so hard to capture. And so he abandoned his work to play Nintendo Wii.
