Example #1: While sticking a band aid on Conner's chin for a scrape none of us knew how he got, including himself, he says to me... "I need a band aid, 'cause my chin is broken... right? right???" (He had to repeat himself, because I was too busy laughing to myself)
Example #2: He decides it'll be fun to put a sticker over his eye (picture above), and says to me, "look, I'm a pirate!" What's cute about that? Well, no matter how hard he tried, once that sticker was over his one eye, he could not keep the other eye open.
Example #3: He hates going to bed. Typical kid. He cries and whines and stomps and comes up with as many excuses as he can to get out of it. But we pay no attention, because we are cold and heartless. Once we had him tucked into his bed the other night, I leaned in to give him a hug, and he says to me in a croaky, heartbroken voice, "I don't want to go to bed." I just tell him, "but you have to." (Genius, right?) And then he gives me the big puppy dog eyes and says, "but mommy... my toe is sick."
Thanks for the good times Conner...
