hanging with gramma

Grandma Prepchuk has been visiting with us for over a week now, so I figured it was time to share some embarrassing fun pictures of our adventures so far.

On our first day of freedom to go out and about, we asked Grandma what she would like to do more than anything in the world while she was here. She said she wanted to see a lighthouse.

Reid will be forever confused at her response. "A lighthouse?? Why? What for?
What purpose does this outing serve???Don't worry Reid… one day you'll understand
the importance adults place on staring at old buildings.

While we were there, Lena saw some flowers and decided that she'd
have to have them or she would curl up and die. She enlisted her
sweet brother Jarom to help her with the picking. Unfortunately for Jarom
these flowers had weird little bugs on them and he had to struggle with the
dilemma of whether he should help his sister or run for the hills in fear.

His tender heart won over of course.

After we stared at a lighthouse, we went out for a fancy feast at Sydney Centre Point Tower.
We gazed at the wonders of Sydney and then Grandma decided it was time to poke Reid in the eye.

Soon after the lighthouse adventure, we decided we'd force Grandma into some kid fun.
So we went to Luna Park. Of course Reid understood the purpose of this outing. Rides and candy!!
She looks happy here, but this is the start of the ride. She was not so impressed by the end.

This was one of her favourite rides. Something about smashing into her grandkids...

We ate some giant cotton candy (aka fairy floss in Australia)
Lena got a little sick… I have no idea how that could have happened.

In other news:
We went to the park and Grandma entertained us all.

Don't worry, I got one non-embarssing picture. Kids included.
