hello again

So apparently it's been almost two months since I've done anything with this blog. I've been racking my brain trying to think of a good excuse, by I've got nothing.... so let's just let bygones be bygones, forget the past, and look to the future. I have a lot of things lined up to share with you, but FIRST!...

I've been going through photos/video on my phone, and found a bunch of things that (at the time, it would seem) I found terribly important. So before I get to sharing "REAL" posts about birthdays, an anniversary, new pets, ETC... I thought I'd share this mess of stuff... really a mess of stuff. Do not expect any kind of continuity here. Just sit back and enjoy the randomness of our life...

First, and most important! Jarom found a hairy chip in his chip pack. It was
fascinating and revolting. He ate it anyway.

And suffered no ill side effects afterwards.
(Seriously though, he did NOT eat the chip... nasty!)

Reid discovered a lady bug that really loves Halloween. And smiling.
(Smiling's my favourite... name that movie!)

My cutie pie Conner climbed a wall with his BFF Rex.

I must share a story since we are on the topic of Conner here, and I have to remember this one.
A few weeks ago he finished reading Charlotte's Web. When I gave him the book to read, for some
reason I assumed he knew what Charlotte's fate would be. He didn't. When he read
the chapter where Charlotte dies, he buried his face in my hair and sobbed his little heart out.
Awwwww! (I love him)

We spent an evening watching guys ride on bulls, and I took this
amazing photo (That blurry thing is the bull. And that blurry thing on
that blurry thing is the bull rider)

And this amazing photo. I almost got everyone in it too! (Sorry Jarom)

My two middle children made "temples" out of marshmallows/crackers at a church activity.
I suspect Conner has a mouth full of marshmallow in this shot.
(Thanks Lynda!)

Just when I think I'm getting to be okay with Australia, this shows up in
our yard and makes me a paranoid freak again.
For those of you who aren't Australian, and don't know... this is a red back spider
(how did they ever come up with that name?), and they are dangerous,
venomous, and just plain old mean looking.

I miss you Canada... :(

A couple of months ago, Lena lost her first teeny tiny little tooth.

And then yesterday she went and lost another...
I'm going to miss that little smile! Sniff... sob...

My gigantic child about to eat a gigantic pear.
A match made in heaven.

Last Sunday I was at home sick while my family happily skipped off to church
and then to a potluck afterwards. Lena couldn't stand the thought of me being all
alone for so long, so she thought if I had this at my side, I would be all right.
I don't know about your kids, but MINE are angels...

Jarom proves that you CAN look cool while
eating an ice cream cone...

And that you're never to old to make a mess
out of your face.

We discovered this beast chillin' out at Watson's Bay.
He was super intimidating... Even the seagulls were keeping their distance.

My children sit (or stand) and contemplate the meaning of life.

This video I have had on my phone for months and MONTHS. It makes me laugh every time. But it's my child, so don't feel bad if you are not so amused. Conner, for ages has not been quite big enough for this device at the park, but he finally gets the hang of it, and as you will see he's pretty excited.

And just for your information, Lena dresses herself these days, I have NO SAY, which some days is hard for me... but amazingly I survive.
AND if you listen carefully, I think Jarom will make a fantastic investigative reporter one day. He must know why? and what's going on? and won't you just answer him already??

Turn up the volume, and enjoy...
