Since the weather has decided to warm up, and Wes has decided to get the pool cleaned, we decided we'd really have no choice but to have our first swim of the season...
Considering their options...
Reid: "Shall we cannon ball in at the same time?"
Jarom: "Nah... how about a pencil dive?"
Reid: "Nah... what about a swan dive?"
Jarom: "No way! Let's do a pirouette, drop kick, fly to the moon dive!"
Reid: "Awesome."
In the end Reid did a regular dive, and Jarom decided it might be too cold to dive in at all.
"It's too cold! I can't do it!"
"Jarom! Get your little hiney into the pool right now!"
"But it's going to be too cold! I can't do it!"
"Jarom, if you don't get in this pool right now, I'm going to come over there and push you in!"
"Okay daddy... sniff, sob."
"What? Isn't it my job to fill my son's life with hardships and disappointments?"
Onto my little cutie Conner. "C'mon mommy... get in!!! It's so much FUN!!!"
C'mon mommy, really! It's great... doesn't this look like a face you can trust with your life???
Ah... so sweet, so cute, so lovely... so... so... dangerously close to the edge without a soul in sight.
Lena was feeling a little too cold, and unsure of the pool at first, so she hung on to Wes for dear life. It was very cute. But then, I usually find everything associated with Lena and Wes cute.
She warmed up eventually. Everything about this picture makes me smile. Wes... Lena... the back of Conner's head...
I'm showing you this picture, not so you can see Mr. Cool Reid, or super-cute-profile-Lena, but so you can see oh-so-disgusting-pool-cover in the background there. Which made Wes feel the need to drag the whole thing to the driveway and give it a good clean... which made our children feel the need to do THIS...
