down by the bay

It has been an unusually busy week of doing nothing around here... and because I feel compelled to post on this blog on a somewhat regular basis, I'm gonna have to resort to posting old stuff. And by old, I mean at least three weeks ago! Oh, the shame. These pictures you're about to have the pleasure of viewing were taken on our little outing to Watson's bay. Yes, the same Watson's bay where Conner fell in love, and Reid fed the birds. I went a little camera crazy... so sue me.

Enjoy... (there's only fifty thousand pictures here, so it should only take you a moment)

To get to Watson's Bay we took a ferry. Lena was in love with it. And I'm in love with her. There's a lot of love in the air around here.

This would be our ENTIRE family, right before your very eyes. Amazing, I know. We went with some friends, and so we let them take our picture. How nice of us, hey? Behind us is the harbour bridge... and just a few moments after this picture was taken, we saw the opera house in all it's glory. We are all about timing... what with the taking this picture just before we had one of the most famous buildings in the world directly behind us.

And here it is... wahoo.

Conner giving me one of his classic 'supermodel' looks. Oh, I'm a m-model you know what I mean... as I do my little turn on the catwalk...

Sorry... getting off track. Should I be ashamed that I know the words to that song?

Some of our pals, I was talking about. Sorry Julia, if your seeing this.... but it was physically impossible for me not to post this picture. It was just too good.

Hmmm... yeah, those smiles don't look forced at all.

I don't know why as parents, we insist on shoving our kids into whatever little caves and crevices we find for the sake of a photo... but there it is. One of the great mysteries of the universe I suppose.

Reid and his 'mate'. I'm so good at speaking Australian.

After trekking around in the humidity for hours on end (okay, slight exaggeration), the kids decided they needed to stop and rest. And play in dirt.

While we waited for the ferry to take us back to our civilization, we played around at the beach. I know what you're thinking here... and I'm also glad Conner remembered his underpants that day.

Some boats.

And why not finish off the post with something just as adorable as what it started with? The cuteness that is Lena.
