Moving on...

Sorry for the scarcity of posts this month... but as most of you knew, and probably more of you didn't, we were on the move this month. Due to the fact that Wes seems to attract an enormous amount of stalkers on a regular basis, we constantly have to move every couple of years, in order to throw them off. This was move number eight for us, and I'm telling ya now, I'm starting to get a bit sick of the whole thing.

Although deep down, I have to admit, I do love a good de-junking, and moving house always gives me that opportunity. Wes on the other hand can not handle a good de-junking, and by the time he had witnessed me throw away/donate "the last thing there was no point in keeping just 'in case' we might have a use for it some day", he was curled up in a ball in the corner sucking his thumb and humming the tune to "hush little baby". But, don't worry, I'll get him back onto the road to recovery soon enough.

Moving on... we are now officially in the new house, and pretty much unpacked and organized, and getting to know the bugs that live here and will always live here no matter how much I try to eliminate them. So, like we promised you all... here's some pictures of the new pad...

This little contraption here is our front door. We use it to enter the house. Cool, hey?

This is a picture of a picture hanging on a wall in our front room. Yes, those pictures are from Ikea, because really, nothing screams class like cheap Ikea art.

This is a window... and as you can probably judge for yourselves... it's the bathroom window.

This beautiful thing here is the air vent, where we allow massive amounts of freezing cold air to flood the house, so that our thick Canadian blood can survive the scalding hot Australian weather. We love you, air vent. We love you so so much.

Now this is a special picture you are going to be just thrilled with. It's the kitchen floor. Well, part of it anyway. It's on this very floor that I stand and create such wondrous dishes, like grilled cheese sandwiches, and hot dogs... and the always tasty, but so difficult to serve up... cold cereal. In a bowl.

And last, but certainly not least, the shed. This is one spot I will always strive to avoid at all costs, because it's a shed, and it's dark, and it's creepy, and it's no doubt filled with all kinds of disgusting bugs... like that pesky little Sydney funnel web spider... aka, the most poisonous spider in the world, and living right here with us, in Sydney. Hence the name, Sydney funnel web spider. Now, I've never actually seen one of these spiders living amongst us regular folk, but I just know they are out there. Most likely in this shed.

So that's that, people. I sure hope you enjoyed the tour of our new place, and can picture us here all settled in and happy. Now you can stop pacing the floors of your homes, wringing your hands and worrying yourselves about us, which of course, you were. Moving, after all, is a frightening, horrifying experience... but we have once again managed to live through it, and tell the story.

The end.
