Give me a moment to brag alright? We love our seven year old Reid, he is the smartest little person I know. He has great abilities to store away any bit of information he hears, reads, sees, and there it stays where he can access it at a moments notice. He can also draw a squid like its nobody's business...

I don't know about the rest of you, but I have trouble remembering the difference between squid, jellyfish, and all those wiggly sea creatures out there. But this child drew this without looking at a picture, he just pulled it out of his immense brain.

He also does all the buttons up on his polo shirts... that right there is proof of his extreme intelligence.
For those of you who haven't spoken on the phone to him recently, and been taught in great detail all there is possibly to know about the universe.... Reid is IN LOVE with space and planets right now, and spends a lot of time absorbing the contents of this book here.

The other night driving home, out of the blue Reid says, "Well! The Earth has spun around once!"... meaning of course, it was evening, the day was done, therefore of course, the Earth had finished it's 360 for the day. Gee whiz.
Then when we get home, he gets out his binoculars, and takes me outside, and shows me where Venus is. Ummm... yeah, I hadn't known before that... am I the only one? Thank goodness I have my seven year old to teach me these things.
I'm pretty sure the only brilliant thing I managed to accomplish when I was seven was counting all the puppy dogs on my puppy dog wall paper. Three hundred and fourteen, mom... three hundred and fourteen.
